1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 18 months of ED experience and TNCC/PALS or ENPC certification. Details Level III trauma, stroke-ready 60-bed facility with 17 exam rooms and a 4-bed observation unit 12-hour night shift, 1900-0730, 36 hours per week Patient population includes post-surgical, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, MI, pediatric, and obstetric emergencies Patient ratio of 1:4 No floating required Weekend rotation every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Support staff includes ED techs, LPNs, charge nurse, phlebotomy, VAT team, RT, 24/7 hospitalist, and
OT/PT/ST
Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC Minimum 18 months of Emergency Department experience required Skilled in airway management, RSI, cardiac drips, code response, and
CVA/STEMI
management Epic EMR experience preferred Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration Minimum one professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute and trauma cases Orientation includes NEO plus two 12-hour shifts on the unit Holiday coverage required on a rotating (every other) basis Time off requests can be approved Navy blue scrubs required Free parking available COVID vaccination required First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
