1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a WI or Compact license and heavy robotics/orthopedic surgery experience for a 13-week travel assignment. Details Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 0700-1530 Call requirements of 2-3 days per week plus every 4th-5th weekend Rotating on-call structure with 2 call teams during the week and 1 call team covering 24-hour weekend shifts Candidates must cover call if RTO falls on a scheduled call day Heavy focus on robotics, orthopedics, and sports medicine cases Additional case exposure includes urology, gynecology, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, spine, and neurosurgery Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance) Current BLS certification required ACLS certification required and must be active and in hand NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required Epic EMR experience preferred Prior charge nurse experience preferred Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and robotic surgery across multiple specialties preferred Experience with cell saver, electrosurgical units, and Hana Table preferred Trauma OR experience preferred Candidates with latex allergies cannot be accommodated Additional Information Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, robotic, neurological, urological, and general surgery cases Participate in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures Follow universal protocol (time out) procedures and specimen handling/labeling standards Adhere to laser and radiation safety practices First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate ($5/hour less) within 50 miles of the facility Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation period Travel pairs are accepted A passport-style badge photo is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance, with one reference from the most recent assignment for certain specialty units Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-4 hours in length
