Job Description
Pine View Center, a Genesis HealthCare facility in Chambersburg, PA, is hiring a Graduate Nurse to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care in our skilled nursing and long-term care setting. Under RN supervision, you'll provide bedside care, support rehabilitation and daily living needs, monitor vital signs, and accurately document in the EHR. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team focused on dignity, safety, and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Provide direct bedside nursing care under RN supervision to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care units Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments, documenting observations accurately in electronic records Administer medications and treatments as permitted for graduate nurses, following policies and safety protocols Monitor vital signs, changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to the RN and clinical team Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans focused on resident goals Educate residents and families on care routines, safety, and health maintenance as appropriate Maintain infection control, fall prevention, and safety standards in all resident care activities Participate in orientation, in-service education, and Genesis Health Care training programs to build clinical skills Support resident dignity, comfort, and preferences, promoting a respectful, compassionate environment Assist with daily living activities, mobility support, and rehabilitation goals as directed Required Skills Basic nursing care procedures Vital signs monitoring Medication administration fundamentals Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Infection control practices Wound care basics Patient and family communication Time management and prioritization Safe patient handling and mobility support Interdisciplinary team collaboration
