REGISTERED NURSE CLINICAL RESOURCE NURSE - MONTGOMERY GENERAL HOSPITAL STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Job Summary Collaborate with and serve as an expert resource to the health care team to enhance the delivery of patient care services. Efficiently coordinate patient needs to assure high-quality patient care, reduce length of stay and resource utilization and ensure reimbursement drawing on a broad clinical and systems management knowledge base. Clinical areas of focus include, but not limited to, Acute Care/Swing Bed Unit, Emergency Department, Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement, Utilization Review, and Performance Improvement Project Coordination. Responsibilities Intervenes with physicians and ancillary departments concerning clinical and utilization issues to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Identify tests, procedures, and interventions earlier to advance the plan of care. Provides real time interventions to prevent delays and ensure compliance and revenue integrity with health care regulations. Evaluates complex patients for needs and barriers to discharge and potential re-admissions. Acts as a resource to assist others with patient care management. Ensure patient rights are sustained and safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality. Monitors trends and report practice issues of the multidiscipline health care team that impacts finances and quality care issues. Implement appropriate measures to resolve issues. Participates in hospital/unit committees as requested. Will be required to cover two regularly scheduled 12-hour shifts per week to combat overtime. Typical weekly schedule will be two12-hour night shifts and two 8-hour office hours (may change as clinically indicated). Night office hours will typically be worked from 7pm-3am. Coverage for night shift call ins and schedule changes as needed. Collect, organize and submit PI data. Including but not limited to interdepartmental/CMS/WVHA/QNET/CDC/NHSN Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Maintain and document all applicable required education. Demonstrate positive customer service and co worker relations. Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. Work Schedule:

40 hours a week; one prescheduled weekend shift per schedule This is a 6-month, temporary position with the possibility of permanent transition depending on need

Pay:

$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
