1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN with a WV or Compact license and at least 2 years of OR experience for a day-shift assignment. Details Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting General OR and trauma surgical environment with potential exposure to vascular, orthopedic, general, urology, ENT, and other specialty procedures Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:45 AM-3:15 PM) Home base in the OR with possible floating to day surgery, endoscopy, PACU, and holding areas Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Community hospital experience preferred 1:1 patient ratio experience Minimum 2 professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those within 75-99 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler Current employees of the Vandalia Health System (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the system Orientation is held every other Tuesday Non-billable training modules required prior to start date, averaging 2-6 hours to complete
