Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Monitors maternal and fetal well-being, supports safe labor and delivery, manages complications, and coordinates care with the obstetric team.

Education & Experience:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. 1-2 years of Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred. Experience with fetal monitoring, labor management, and high-risk obstetric care is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. BLS certification required. ACLS certification required. NRP certification required. Fetal monitoring certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and continuously monitor maternal and fetal condition throughout labor and delivery. Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and other indicators of maternal and fetal well-being. Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments safely. Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies. Provide patient education, emotional support, and guidance throughout labor and delivery. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals. Provide immediate postpartum care and maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient handoff. #Workwolf
