Description:
Description The Registrar is responsible for facilitating the patient admission flow, including such activities as patient identification, gathering demographic information, securing financial, third-party, and guarantor data, obtaining required signatures and documents, and entering admission data into the hospital information computer system. Coordinates proper patient room assignments for all admissions and transfer requests in conjunction with patient, physician, and nursing requirements. Serves the patient and family in such a manner as to make the admission process as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Requirements:
Requirements 1. High School Diploma 2. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 3. Hospital registration experience preferred. 4. Interpersonal skills- including customer relations, grammar, reading, and organizational skills. 5. Computer skills - basic typing and use of computer is required. 6. Able to make decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and manage stress, anger, potential violence of others appropriately Physical requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, lift, balance, sit, kneel, hear, reach, pull, talk, see, turn, carry, push, handle and write. The degree to which any of these is done depends on the job. This job requires you to reach above head, push/pull 5 lbs, lift/carry up to 15 lbs, and lift from floor and waist level.
