Job Description

Job Overview Join our healthcare team as a Patient Access Representative, where your energetic and compassionate approach will be the first point of contact for patients entering our facility. In this vital role, you will manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and ensure smooth scheduling and registration processes. Your proactive communication skills and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative and healthcare knowledge in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare and health insurance policies, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect and review patient information Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Assist patients with intake forms Maintain confidentiality of all health information in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and clinical confidentiality policies Proficiency with EMR/EHR system; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Experience in medical office management or front desk operations within a clinic setting is highly desirable Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment This role is perfect for individuals passionate about healthcare administration who thrive on providing exceptional patient service. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
