Main tasks will include answering phone calls, scheduling patients for Respiratory services, processing insurance verification/authorizations for services needed, data entry, chart management/filing, faxing/emailing, processing credit card transactions, customer service, and other tasks required related to any of the previous duties. Education High school graduate/GED required. A basic knowledge of computer knowledge/training with skills in Microsoft Office preferred. A clinical background is preferred with experience in healthcare, preferably in Sleep/DME. Experience Six months to one year's experience with clerical/office duties preferred and experience scheduling patients for Respiratory services. Special Skills/Requirements Communicates appropriately and as necessary with co-workers, clinicians, patients. Ability to adhere to a professional dress code. Maintains knowledge and skill lever through regular attendance at scheduled in-services and meetings. Familiar with Brightree or EMR software platforms. Ability to exhibit time management and keep on task without regular direct supervision. Ability to perform other duties relating to the care of patients with Respiratory Services. Ability to multi-task and oversee schedules of multiple facilities/providers. Familiar with DME guidelines for PAP therapy, including replenishing guidelines. Understanding of PAP therapy procedures in order to answer basic patient questions. Comfortable with high phone call volume environment. Work Environment and Hazards Potential hazards include exposure to, fumes/odors from cleaning solutions and adhesive materials, as well as electrical and radiant energy sources. Office staff often sits for long periods at a workstation with a computer or phone. Reporting Relationship CSR reports directly to the Clinical Director.
