In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and clients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the initial inquiry through appointment scheduling and documentation. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient intake processes, support medical administrative functions, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and customer service. Duties Greet patients and clients warmly via phone, email, or in person, establishing a positive first impression Collect, verify, and accurately input patient information into electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software Schedule appointments efficiently while coordinating with medical staff to optimize clinic flow Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records in accordance with health regulation policies and privacy laws Assist patients with insurance verification, billing questions, and understanding healthcare procedures Manage incoming calls, respond to inquiries promptly, and direct communication to appropriate team members Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and maintaining organized records Skills Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems for managing patient data Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and client interactions Knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and regulatory compliance standards Ability to maintain patient confidentiality diligently in all aspects of work Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation accuracy Join us as an Intake Coordinator to be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient experiences while supporting our healthcare team's operational excellence.
