Job Description

Contract - 13 weeks Shift -
Days and Afternoon Key Responsibilities:
Register and check in patients while collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using payer websites and verification systems. Obtain and review required registration, consent, and financial responsibility forms during patient check-in. Accurately update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Explain registration procedures, insurance requirements, and hospital policies to patients. Coordinate with clinical staff, insurance providers, and other departments to ensure accurate patient records. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Provide professional and compassionate customer service in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-2 years of recent hospital registration experience . Recent experience verifying insurance eligibility in a hospital setting. Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance plans. Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
