$23.00 - $25.30 College Hospital is seeking for 1 part time Patient Admitting Representative to work weekends. The Admitting Representative is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while functioning as an extension of the Patient Accounting Department. Responsible for patient registration and associated tasks, while maintaining a high level of professionalism to accomplish the hospital's mission. This position requires a high level of customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to organize and multitask.

Responsibilities:

Effectively demonstrates knowledge of rules, regulations and procedures pertaining to psychiatric admissions, along with confidentiality laws and regulations as set forth by College Hospital. Coordinates admissions with receiving unit/ancillary services in a timely manner. Conducts patient/guarantor interviews upon admission to obtain accurate demographic information, insurance coverage, and ensures hospital compliance with patient/guarantor signature attempts. Explains admitting policies to patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff in a clear and concise manner. Reports all admission, transfer, and discharge in a timely manner. Effectively performs additional duties and responsibilities as position requires.

Required Skills:

Basic computer skills. Experience in customer service preferred. Professional image and demeanor.
