Where You'll Work Work Setting:

In-Person What You'll Actually Do Be the patient's go-to person Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing. Explain testing and next steps in a clear, approachable way. Answer questions and help patients feel informed and comfortable. Keep communication consistent from first contact through follow-up. Use your clinical skills Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens. Follow specimen identification, labeling, handling, and transport protocols. Maintain accurate clinical documentation. Follow HIPAA, safety, and compliance requirements. Build relationships Work directly with partner clinics, providers, and clinical teams. Become a trusted extension of the teams you support. Adapt to different clinic environments and changing priorities. Own the follow-through Manage patient cases, scheduling, callbacks, and follow-ups. Identify roadblocks before they become problems. Help patients navigate insurance, scheduling, eligibility, and other barriers. Make sure patients don't get lost in the process. Make things better Bring ideas for improving workflows and the patient experience. Look for creative solutions when something isn't working. Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do. You Might Be a Great Fit If... You're a nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills. You have 2+ years of clinical experience. You have 2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations. You have current BLS certification. You're comfortable collecting diagnostic or genetic specimens. You're organized, dependable, and good at juggling multiple priorities. You're confident talking with patients and healthcare professionals. You can work independently and thrive in a fast-moving environment. You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel between locations is required.
