Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they reach out. Your energetic approach will help coordinate patient intake processes, manage appointments, and facilitate communication between patients and medical staff. Duties Greet patients via phone and in person with enthusiasm, providing exceptional customer service and support Collect and verify patient information accurately using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating patient needs and provider availability Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records in accordance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines Assist patients with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and explaining health procedures or policies Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care delivery Manage incoming calls, respond to inquiries promptly, and direct calls appropriately to support team operations Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is highly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of health regulation policies, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology is essential Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems or patient management software is required Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly Familiarity with health insurance processes and billing procedures enhances effectiveness in this role Excellent phone communication skills combined with professional client interaction abilities Ability to type quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail Join us as an Intake Coordinator where your energetic attitude and dedication will help create a positive experience for every patient.
