Job Description

Job Description An employer is looking for a Patient Access Representative within a call center environment in the Los Angeles, CA area. This position is part of Prime PACC Program. This person will be responsible for handling about 50+ calls per day for multiple GI offices across Southern California. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, triaging patients, providing directions/parking instructions, contacting clinic facility to notify if a patient is running late, scheduling and rescheduling patients' appointments, verifying insurances, and assisting with referrals/follow up care. This position is fully on-site until fully trained and passing multiple assessments (typically around 2-3 months of working
  • depending on performance) where it will then go remote.
Shifts are Monday-Friday either from 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-pm.   • HS Diploma
  • 2+ years healthcare call center experience OR front desk experience at doctor's office with multiple physicians
  • Proficient in EHR/EMR software
  • 2+ years experience scheduling patient appointments for multiple physicians
  • 40+ WPM typing speed
  • Proficient in Epic software
  • Experience verifying insurances
  • Basic experience with Excel and standard workbooks
  • Experience with Genesis phone system
