We're interviewing now at our Novato, CA facility! Looking for a client-focused Admissions Coordinator who has knowledge of mental health and substance abuse clientele! We are seeking to fill a Full Time Admissions Coordinator position.
General Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator position screens applicants for the healthcare program. They will work with all potential clients prior to admission into the facility, and once a potential client is determined to be appropriate for the facility, will coordinate their arrival to the facility.
Responsibilities:
Answer all phone incoming phone calls and score each call immediately. Return missed calls immediately. Obtains potential clients information by requesting completed pre-screen assessments and medical information; verifying and clarifying information; interviewing patients and family members; explaining admission criteria. Screens potential clients by completing the pre-admission screening; will pass the pre-screening assessment onto the licensed clinician who will evaluate and approve or deny acceptance into the program. Verifies all insurance policies through the VOB process Clear and confident ability to communicate and relay client's financial obligations as set forth in their insurance contract (deductible, max out of pocket, co-insurance, etc.) Responsible for identifying the financial responsible party who will make payments for deductible, out of pocket, or co-insurance, and relay that information to the onsite team. Refer potential clients and family to other programs and institutions as needed Admits clients by completing admission and financial responsibility forms; coordinating and arranging client's safe intake and Update lead sheets daily, and intake reports Add admissions note to each call/contact so team members are aware of status communication. Maintain accurate daily reporting across all reporting sheets utilized by the admissions coordinator (lead tracking sheets, intake and admissions sheet, incoming waitlist on the bed board) Admissions Coordinator is the front-line messenger of policies, procedures, do's and don'ts, electronics policies, etc. Keeps patients safe by following safety policies, procedures Protects organization reputation by keeping information confidential, following all HIPAA and Confidentiality rules and regulations. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age CPR & First Aid certification Valid California Driver's License Must be able to pass Background Check Negative TB Test Must understand therapeutic process, confidentiality laws, professional ethics, fundamentals of addiction, and mental health disabilities and treatment Must be willing to work weekends and holidays if needed Equal Opportunity Employer
