This full-time, salaried leadership role is vital in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care, fostering a collaborative team environment, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nursing administration, hospice care, and long-term care management, demonstrating energetic leadership and a passion for improving quality of life for patients and their families. Responsibilities Provide strategic oversight and clinical leadership to the hospice care team, ensuring high standards of patient care and staff performance. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs, emphasizing comfort, dignity, and respect. Supervise nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes professional growth and accountability. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hospice services, Medicare requirements, long-term care regulations, and HIPAA privacy standards. Oversee documentation review processes including medical records, clinical notes, and regulatory reports to maintain accuracy and completeness within EMR/EHR systems. Manage staffing schedules across shifts to ensure adequate coverage while promoting efficient resource utilization. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospice care environments with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in long-term care or acute care settings. Extensive knowledge of resident's rights, MDS (Minimum Data Set), medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing medical records and clinical documentation efficiently. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while managing shift operations in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of Medicare regulations, long-term care regulations, regulatory compliance standards, and hospice-specific guidelines. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for patient advocacy and quality improvement initiatives.
