Responsibilities:
Job Summary The Lead Patient Account representative is responsible for providing comprehensive patient accounting services to all patients and serving as a resource to the account representative staff. All communications are conducted in a manner consistent with positive patient relations, yet prompt and accurate reimbursement. Duties Performs financial counseling, collection, follow-up and billing of patient accounts
Continue education in rules and regulations governing the resolution of an account
Ensures that goals and objectives established in conjunction with the collection manager are attained
Files and reports selected information associated with the daily activity of account recover/resolution
Assures goals and objectives are set in conjunction with the collection manager and are met of exceeded
Assures that Account recover is high and bad debt is low
Makes sure there is minimal levels of absence and/or tardiness
Assures that problem situations are resolved appropriately
Makes sure that the collection manager is informed of any unusual and significant issues that may impact timely collection
Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
