$18.00-$24.00 per hour (based on experience) 2-3 Positions Open About Us We are a growing medical clinic in Rancho Cucamonga dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children from infancy through adolescence. We are looking for experienced Medical Referral Coordinators to join our administrative team and help ensure our patients receive timely, well-coordinated specialty care. Position Summary 2-3 openings for full-time Medical Referral Coordinators to manage patient referrals across multiple specialties, including Family Medicine/General Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Podiatry. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating referrals, verifying insurance, and communicating with patients, providers, and specialty offices to ensure a smooth referral process from start to finish. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM No weekends Key Responsibilities Process and track patient referrals to specialty providers, including Family Medicine/General Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Podiatry Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations as required by payers Schedule specialist appointments and coordinate timing with patients and families Communicate with referring and receiving providers to ensure complete, accurate transfer of medical records and information Follow up on pending referrals and authorizations to prevent delays in patient care Maintain accurate, up-to-date referral records and documentation in the EHR system Respond to patient, provider, and insurance inquiries regarding referral status Identify and resolve issues that could delay or prevent a referral from being completed Maintain current knowledge of insurance networks, referral requirements, and specialty provider directories Support the front office and clinical team with related administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Experience in medical referral coordination, prior authorization, or a related administrative healthcare role preferred Familiarity with referrals across multiple specialties, such as Family Medicine/General Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Podiatry, a plus Working knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment with multiple ongoing referrals Experience with EHR systems Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
