Medical Office Assistant (Part time)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team in a modern optometry office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support. This role requires someone who is personable, organized, and proficient with computer basics. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems Assist patients in styling frames with ophthalmic lenses to meet their visual needs Performs a variety of optical dispensing duties such as frame adjustments and repair, neutralizing lenses, managing orders to and from lab, and billing orders to insurance Other duties include communication with patients via our practice management system, data entry, processing payments, and frame gallery maintenance Qualifications Strong communication skills Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail No Experience Necessary, we will train the right candidate.
