  • $20 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Vision insurance Qualifications Customer communication Sales Stocking Clean workspace maintenance Facilities maintenance Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Seeking a qualified Medical Office Assistant and Technician on a full-time or part time basis in both of our Optometry office locations in Norwalk and Stamford.
We require the candidate to possess general office experience with a great personality and a friendly, personal demeanor. You must have good interpersonal and effective verbal skills to communicate with fellow staff and patients. Must have reliable transportation and be flexible to work in both locations as needed. Full time Saturdays are mandatory for employment. Salary is based on knowledge and a training period. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Patient treatment coordination.
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits (vision and medical)
  • Front desk duties including answering incoming calls, billing and collecting payments at the time of service.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the office.
  • Manage recall and inactive patient system.
  • Patient work-ups and diagnostic procedures. Knowledge is preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Glasses and contact sales.
  • General office maintenance.
Keep office tidy and organized and frames stocked.
