About the OpportunityOur client, a respected healthcare organization in Trumbull, CT, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Registration Specialist to join their team. This position plays a vital role in creating a positive patient experience by serving as the first point of contact for patients and ensuring the accurate collection and verification of demographic, insurance, and financial information.

ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.

Register new patients and update existing patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and authorization requirements.

Collect and process patient copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments as needed.

Ensure accuracy of demographic, insurance, and medical information.

Obtain required patient signatures and documentation.

Answer incoming phone calls and address patient inquiries.

Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Coordinate with clinical, billing, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient services.

Resolve registration issues and insurance discrepancies in a timely manner.
