$20.00 - $23.50 / hour This position is best suited for someone who is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing communications and administrative tasks in a high-volume Emergency Department environment. Hospital or medical office experience strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff. Support a positive patient experience by providing communication and coordination throughout the patient's stay. Perform clerical and administrative duties that support daily unit operations. Assist with patient flow and departmental efficiency in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. Identify issues, escalate concerns to appropriate staff, and help facilitate solutions. Provide timely information to nurses, physicians, and leadership to support decision-making. A strong candidate would have the following skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment. Strong organizational and clerical skills. Experience with patient registration, scheduling, electronic medical records (EMR), or healthcare administration. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff. Experience in a hospital, emergency department, medical office, or patient-facing healthcare setting is highly desirable. Summary Serves as a liaison between the patient, family, hospital staff and physicians to ensure a favorable patient experience and efficient coordination of unit flow. Responsible for a variety of clerical and non-clerical duties that support the overall operations of the nursing unit as well as the optimal delivery of care within the health system. Routinely engaged in identifying, elevating and providing alternative solutions to challenges to appropriate personnel. Provides timely information to decision-making personnel.
