Job Description

Under the direction of the Patient Financial Services Director, this position is responsible for insurance billing and collection procedures including timely submission of claims, and providing proactive follow up of unpaid insurance claims. This position is responsible for review and corrections of payments, partial payments, contractual adjustments and denials until the account is deemed resolved. Further, this position will provide account review assistance to patients, auditors, performance improvement reviews, and other approved customers as needed. .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
High School Graduate or GED equivalent from a department of education accredited program required. 2. Minimum of two years previous healthcare registration, billing, or front office experience of medical billing certification preferred. 3. Strong customer service skills and ability to organize and multi-task while working in a high-volume work environment required. 4. Previous experience with insurance eligibility and verification of co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance preferred. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems, technology and proficiency in the use of web-based programs and Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook and Excel required. M-F 8a-4:30p
