Job Overview Magnolia Medical Clinic Family Medicine is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional patient service and assistance with check-in and check-out procedures Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently using professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Greenway and Phreesia Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and assist with billing processes including medical collection efforts Maintain and update patient records in various EHR systems such as Greenway and Phreesia with precision and attention to detail Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper coding practices including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
coding for medical billing and documentation review Support clinic operations by coordinating care plans, intake procedures, and medical scheduling while ensuring efficient workflow Handle sensitive health information management tasks with confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with HIPAA standards Experience Prior experience working as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role within a clinic or hospital setting is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and insurance verification processes Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments is a plus Experience handling medical billing processes including Medicare claims and collections is desirable Previous clerical experience involving front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, filing systems, and health information management is advantageous Ability to perform detailed documentation review while maintaining accuracy under pressure in a fast-paced environment Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patient care through energetic service delivery!
