Job Description
Harbour Dental Care is looking for a skilled, personable, and highly organized Dental Patient Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking someone who understands that exceptional dental care starts with an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is confident communicating with patients, comfortable discussing treatment plans and financial options, and able to keep the front office running smoothly in a busy dental practice. What You'll Do Welcome patients warmly and provide an exceptional experience from check-in through checkout. Coordinate patient appointments, recalls, treatment scheduling, and follow-ups. Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage communications professionally. Present treatment plans clearly and confidently, helping patients understand their recommended care. Discuss treatment costs, insurance benefits, payment options, and financing with patients. Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or outstanding treatment. Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance-related questions and documentation. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure information is updated appropriately. Coordinate closely with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and the administrative team. Help maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming front-office environment. Provide outstanding customer service while protecting patient privacy and confidentiality. Support the practice in meeting scheduling, patient retention, and treatment acceptance goals. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a dental office, preferably in a patient coordinator, treatment coordinator, or front-office role. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatment coordination. Experience with dental insurance, benefit verification, and patient financing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A warm, professional, and patient-centered personality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to confidently discuss treatment and financial arrangements with patients. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer and dental practice management software skills. Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude. A genuine desire to help patients achieve and maintain their oral health.
