Job Description

Medical Receptionist / Patient Check-In Coordinator (Bilingual) Comprehensive Cardiology Consultants is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Medical Receptionist / Patient Check-In Coordinator to join our growing cardiology practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient front-office operations. Position Summary The Medical Receptionist / Patient Check-In Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records within the electronic medical record system. Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Check patients in and out for appointments. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals. Collect copays, balances, and required documentation. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with inquiries. Scan and upload documents into the EMR system. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience. Assist with appointment reminders and follow-up calls. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Bilingual (English/Spanish)
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a cardiology practice. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks (ECW). Familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations. Experience handling patient copays and medical office scheduling.
