Job Description
Community Health Northwest Florida is seeking a Float Patient Services Advisor (PSA) . This position provides front-desk and patient registration support at various CHNWF clinic locations based on coverage needs. Primary Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner. Complete patient check-in and registration. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information. Schedule appointments and collect co-pays/payments as needed. Maintain accurate information in the electronic health record. Assist patients with forms, Sliding Fee Program information, transportation, and interpretation services when needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned. Float Requirements Must be willing and able to travel to any CHNWF clinic location as needed. Must have a flexible schedule, including availability for 10-hour shifts, evenings, and weekends . Must have a valid Florida driver's license and proof of automobile insurance . Must be dependable, professional, team-oriented, and able to work well under pressure. Must have experience in Adult Health and Pediatrics or be willing to train in both. Must have 5 years of experience in the field with no break in service . Must complete at least 90 days of training and demonstrate proficiency in each required area. Internal Candidates Internal applicants must have: Excellent performance evaluations. No written counseling or Performance Improvement Plans. No attendance concerns. A record of punctuality and dependability. Float Stipend The Float PSA will receive an additional $160 weekly stipend in addition to their regular hourly wage. The stipend includes consideration for mileage and gas and will end if the employee is no longer in the Float position. Qualifications Associate Degree or comparable work experience. Medical billing experience or comparable training. Experience with electronic health records and patient registration. Medical office and customer service experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
