Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Services Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support in a medical setting.
Duties:
  • Welcome and direct patients.
  • Assist patients with paperwork.
  • Manage patient complaints and feedback.
  • Collect and verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  • Manage written, verbal and electronic communications.
  • Screening incoming calls to provide the proper routing to other departments when necessary.
  • Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Answering patient questions about billing and payments.
  • Registering, scheduling and re-scheduling patients for initial appointments and follow-ups.
  • Receiving and processing cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered.
  • Reviewing patient accounts, identifying delinquent accounts, and collecting overdue payments.
  • Informing patients about delays and waiting times.
  • Obtaining patients' addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories.
  • Updating and verifying patient information at every visit.
  • Assisting patients in filling out patient history forms, consent forms, and payment contract forms, when necessary.
  • Check voicemails.
  • Reports such as recall/cancellation distributed by Front Desk Manager and Practice Administrator.
  • Traveling to other offices to assist with coverage.
  • Must comply with HIPPA requirements.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
