Patient Care Associate Position Summary Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests not offered at the medical center. Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests. Keys data into computer systems to maintain office and patient records. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED diploma. Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience.
