As a Registrar, you will support the Health System and the Patient Experience by performing efficient and timely registration for patients seeking services at the Health System. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:
Greeting incoming patients and coordinating the registration process with applicable departments. Creating accurate patient encounter records by collecting and entering appropriate demographics into the computer system. Verifying insurance coverage on all patients having outpatient surgery. Gathering and processing patient registration data required to meet state, federal and accreditation standards, and ensure that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Informing patients of their estimated financial responsibility for services, and collecting the respective payment due at the time of registration or pre-registration i.e., co-pays, deductible, co-insurance, or estimate for non-covered services.
What you will need:
High school graduate or equivalent Registration experience in a hospital setting and experience with determining financial responsibility for medical services preferred.
