Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the medical office. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures Manage patient scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software Collect and update patient information accurately, including insurance details and medical history Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, appointment reminders, and document processing Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records in compliance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines Support billing processes by verifying insurance coverage and explaining payment procedures to patients Requirements Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication Knowledge of health regulation policies, including HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems, and patient management software Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions Understanding of health insurance processes and billing procedures Excellent typing skills for accurate data entry and record keeping Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values energetic service delivery, transparency, and professional growth. Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
