Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela, HI 96743 •Kona Clinic on Wednesdays at 75-5653 Kuakini Hwy Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 Queen's North Hawai'i Community Hospital's General Surgery Clinic is supported by a team of skilled surgeons and advanced technology. Our surgeons specialize in a wide range of procedures, including surgeries of the abdomen, skin, breast, soft tissues, and endocrine system. We also provide minimally invasive surgery options and manage a range of conditions such as abscesses, hernias, thyroid nodules, and more.
Primary Care Clinic Location:
Hale Ola Pono Health Center, 65-1267 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela, HI 96743 Our Primary Care Clinic offers comprehensive care for patients of all ages. Services include injury, preventive medicine, specialist referrals, and telehealth. We also provide same-day urgent care for established patients. Our Primary Care clinic includes the following specialties: Behavioral Health, Wound, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Pediatrics, and Kahu a Ola.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in direct and indirect patient care, including health maintenance and patient instruction. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Assist with patient rehabilitation and support achieving patient, practice, and organizational goals.
Lifting up to ½ pound, seeing, hearing, speaking, grasping, fingering. Frequent to
Continuous:
Sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, repetitive motion, lifting up to 10 pounds.
Occasional:
Kneeling, crouching, climbing, uneven ground walking, lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and communicable diseases. Fast-paced and potentially hectic work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of a program/degree in Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, EMT, LPN, or RN; OR Nursing Student with completed clinical fundamentals and pharmacology; OR Prior direct patient care or medical office experience. Current CPR certification (BLS/HCP level). Familiarity with computers and automated systems. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Experience comparable to a Patient Service Representative may be preferred.
