GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, the Front Office Medical Clerk is responsible for assisting patients, back office staff, and provider staff in support of medical care of all patients. Day to day activities will vary from greeting patients, answering phones, faxing, scheduling, emailing, and caring for the health of the patients we treat in the beautiful community of Maui.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills professionally
  • Use of Electronic Medical Records systems
  • Assisting with cleaning the clinics per the cleaning schedule
  • Answering Phones
  • Teamwork
  • Scheduling Patients
  • Maintaining Friendly and Helpful demeanor at all times
  • Faxing
  • Checking and Responding to Emails-Multitasking
  • Returning Patient calls and Checking Voicemails
  • Greeting Patients
  • Understanding HIPPA law and its applications and importance in the clinical setting
  • Verifying Insurances/Collecting Copays importance in the clinical setting
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Medical Office Experience
AVAILABILITY
Hours:
35-40hrs/week
Clinics Hours :
Mon-Friday 8am-7:30pm, Saturday 8am-6:30pm, Sunday 8am-4:30pm Clinic(s): Kihei, depending on our needs. Preference would be given to someone also able and willing to go to Kahului and Lahaina on occasion, but not required.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
