Job Description
This position is located in the Patient Financial Services Section of Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH). KVMH and Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital are part of the Kauai Region, Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, a public benefit corporation of the State of Hawaii operating 9 facilities statewide. The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for interviewing patients and/or accompanying parties to obtain patient demographic and insurance information. Other duties include transfer and discharging patients; switchboard and PA system duties; cashiering duties; and public relations duties. This position will be required to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays. Position may also be required work in multiple locations within the facility to meet the needs of the patients. The Patient Access Representative II (Regional) for Admissions, Registration, and Emergency Services is responsible for interviewing patients and their accompanying parties to gather demographic and insurance information. Additional responsibilities include transferring and discharging patients, managing switchboard and public address (PA) system operations, handling cashiering tasks, performing public relation functions, and any other duties as assigned. This role requires the incumbent to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may involve assignments at multiple locations within the region to address patient needs and meet operational demands.
