Role:
Experienced Medical Office Receptionist Experienced and professional Medical Office Receptionist with a strong background in providing front-desk support in busy healthcare environment. Responsible for creating a welcoming patient experience while efficiently managing appointments, phone calls, insurance information, medical records, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner. Check patients in and out while verifying demographic, insurance, and contact information. Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments. Answer multi-line telephone systems and appropriately handle patient calls and inquiries. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations. Collect copayments, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Process patient forms, medical records requests, referrals, and other documentation. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, clinical staff, patients, and insurance companies. Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient front office and patient flow. Protect patient confidentiality and consistently follow HIPAA regulations and office policies. Respond to patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, patience, and empathy. Perform general administrative duties including scanning, faxing, filing, data entry, and correspondence. Support providers and office management with daily administrative and operational needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Several years of medical office or healthcare reception experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and front-office procedures. Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems. Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and medical billing procedures. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced medical environment. Professional, dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused. Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and multi-line phone systems. Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Schedule & Benefits:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
