Full Job Description Patient Service Representative The Ardent Counseling Center is a culture-first organization that cares how our team members feel on a daily basis. As a Patient Service Representative, you will provide day-to-day positive experiences to internal and external customers. The Ardent Counseling Center has a part-time/full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR), position available (15-40 Hours/Week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Office Manager, provide office support at the front desk for Behavioral Health services, including but not limited to: reception, scheduling, and patient assistance related duties at designated points of service to ensure a high-quality level of patient service and satisfaction. Greets incoming patients and visitors. Assures patient demographics and eligibility are correct. Collects copays and balances due. Respond to patient and visitor questions in a timely and appropriate manner utilizing knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures. Establish good communication with other departments, team members, other physician offices, hospitals, or patients in response to requests for information, followup, or problem resolution. Perform various clerical duties as needed in assigned work areas. Assist with medical records and clinical personnel as needed. Maintain work and waiting areas in a neat and professional manner. Attend staff meetings as requested. Ability to handle and prioritize work in a fastpaced environment and be able to multitask. Must be able to critically respond in emergency situations. Register new patients and schedule new and followup appointments via Electronic Health Record System. Reschedule appointments and follow up on canceled and missed appointments.
Qualifications:
Customer Service, in a medical environment with six months to a year preferred. EHR experience preferred Must have basic computer skills (Word processing, Excel, and EHR)
