Position Overview:

This position provides support services for Vandal Health Clinic. They are responsible for maintaining patient records and providing general information about Vandal Health Clinic to patients, faculty, staff, students and the public about services and certain policies and procedures.

Duties may include:

Schedule and reschedule patient appointments

Screen client telephone calls for clinicians

Process new patient paperwork and confidential information

Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

One year performing office support functions such as document or records management, composing or editing and formatting business documents, reception and/or customer service

Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Other:

None Additional Preferred:

Experience understanding and knowledgeable of medical terminology

Experience with and knowledgeable in Electronic Health/Medical Records

Experience in a mental health or medical clinic setting

Experience working with or knowledgeable of the HIPAA of 1996 and FERPA, pertaining to releasing protected health information

Two years of general office experience OR one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting OR equivalent education/experience
