  • Admitting Clerk
  • (FT) This is a clerical position that is responsible for greeting and assisting all who walk through the front doors of the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
The front desk admissions clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients at a healthcare facility. The clerk is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting personal, medical, and insurance information, and verifying their insurance through the Experian tool. The clerical position will schedule, reschedule, and verify patient appointments.

Schedule:
Mon-Fri 7:45am-6:00pm (Wednesdays off) Every third Saturday 8:45am-12:00pm Benefit eligible
Required Skills :
1. Ability to multi task 2. Computer skills, I.E. beginner Microsoft Office skills 3. Attention to detail 4. An understanding of office type equipment, i.e. Fax machine, printer, copier, etc. 5. Phone skills 6. Ability to deal with internal and external customers professionally 7. Ability to communicate both verbally and written 8. Liaison between patients and medical staff
Minimum Work Experience :
1. One year admitting experience preferred but not required
