  • (PRN) A clerical position responsible for receiving incoming phone calls and patients.
Helping patients and customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting all who walk thru the front doors of the clinic in a cheerful, happy demeanor. The front desk admissions clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients at a healthcare facility. The front desk admissions clerk is responsible to accurately and appropriately route patients, customers, vendor representatives, and other individuals correctly and efficiently. The clerk is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting personal, medical, and insurance information, and verifying their insurance through the Experian tool. The clerical position will schedule, reschedule, and verify patient appointments. Works well within the team environment for the better of the department and the beginning of the patient care plan.

Mon-Fri 7:35am-5:00pm As needed for sick calls, vacation time, staff shortage
Experience:
Previous Admitting/PBX experience, preferred Previous Cerner Experience, preferred
Required Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal skills Ability to communicate written and verbally Proven problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to work as a team and individually Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, MS Publisher (or Equivalent) and Power Point.
