The PCA functions as a member of the health care team to provide appropriate basic care based on the ages of the patients served. This includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing nourishments, telemetry monitoring, and observing patients for physical/emotional changes. Communicates with other team members to ensure continuity of care. The PCA works with and follows the direction of the team Registered Nurse. The PCA reports to the Clinical Nurse Coordinator and Senior Director of Acute Care.
Position Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Basic Cardiac Monitoring Class, or willingness to complete Prefer one-year clinical experience Current Nursing Assistant certification with the State of Illinois BLS certification through AHA required Eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus!!
