This is an Hourly position. Overview This position is located in Dixon,IL Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm Lead Patient Access postion will include on-call duties.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Patient Access Lead functions as a team resource on highly complex issues and problem resolution. They will serve as a dedicated resource for multiple functional areas and determine the appropriate outside resources needed to support escalation. This position has a significant understanding of the revenue cycle and the importance of evaluating and securing all appropriate financial resources for patients to maximize reimbursement. The Patient Access Lead ensures that each patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF's services to the patients and families. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School/GED Other Licenses/Certifications:
​Required to complete all role specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months
Experience:
​1 year experience in a healthcare or public health setting with one of the following: patient registration, patient scheduling, insurance benefits, financial assistance programs, or other community based background. 1 year experience with customer service/relations.
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field
Experience:
Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers Knowledge of medical terminology
Licensure/Certifications:
HFMA CRCR
