Job Description

As a Medical Office Secretary, you will be essential in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations within the medical office. Your core responsibilities will include managing patient records, assisting with front desk duties, and delivering excellent patient service. Join our team to contribute to a positive patient experience and support our healthcare professionals in delivering quality care! Responsibilities Greeting patients, answering phones, triaging calls, scheduling appointments, insurance precertification or verification, arranging referrals, medical supply inventory, medical record requests, following all HIPAA protocols; other duties as assigned. Accountable for front office and support for Clinical staff. Front Desk Oversee all front desk activities Ensure all pertinent tests and consults from Inpatient services are scanned into the CTVSA/ Christy Cardiology Epic chart. Model excellent customer service behaviors both in person and on the phone.▪ Adheres to all office policies and procedures, e.g. Maintain accurate and updated demographics and/or insurance information on all patients. Phones are answered promptly by 3rd ring. Compliance with No Show procedures. Address patient complaints/concerns and take necessary steps to achieve conflict resolution. Strengthen the patient experience and referrals to others by demonstrating great customer service. Clinical Staff Liaison Provide necessary support for clinical staff including Taking messages (in their absence) and notifying them in a timely basis to ensure continuity of care. Turning over clinic rooms. Ensure pertinent discs are uploaded for providers. Assist Research Department weekly, providing support, data entry and other duties as assigned. Administrative duties Keep manager apprised of all matters significant to day to day operations, i.e., call in of clinical team, physician's concerns, etc. This should be timely and efficient, most typically through texting or calls when required. Mail pick up and drop off from the mailbox. Responsible for self-evaluations on a semi-annual basis.
Schedule Monday-Friday Pay:
