Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optician, where your expertise will transform patient experiences by providing exceptional optical services and personalized eyewear solutions. In this vital role, you will assist patients in selecting the perfect frames, ensure accurate measurements, and support clinical staff with essential eye care procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Duties Assist patients in choosing eyewear that suits their prescription, style preferences, and lifestyle needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Take precise measurements of pupils, frames, and facial features to ensure optimal fit and comfort for each patient. Prepare and dispense eyewear, including adjusting frames and verifying lens specifications according to prescriptions. Support clinical staff with basic eye care procedures such as pre-testing and maintaining medical records in electronic medical record (EMR). Manage retail sales transactions accurately using retail math skills, including processing payments and updating inventory records. Stay informed about the latest optical products, medical terminology related to optometry. Requirements Prior experience in optical retail or clinic settings is highly preferred; laboratory experience is a plus. Familiarity electronic health record platforms. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior clients. Basic understanding of medical billing and coding processes related to optometry services. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
