Hills, IL Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7 AM- 4 PM Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our manufacturing team and contribute to the accurate, efficient production of metal components and assemblies. The Fabricator will perform hands-on fabrication and assembly tasks, follow manufacturing processes, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement efforts. This role requires a strong foundation in manufacturing practices; fabrication, reading blueprints, experience with metalworking equipment and welding are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain manufacturing and metalworking equipment to produce parts and assemblies to specification Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and assembly sequences Cut, shape, form, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, presses, and welding equipment as required Perform welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and other joining techniques where applicable; maintain welding quality and clean welds for inspection Inspect finished parts against quality standards; measure dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges and document results Set up machines and fixtures, change tooling, and make minor adjustments to ensure consistent production output Follow manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and company procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements Maintain production logs, complete required paperwork, and report defects or equipment problems promptly Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical certificate or trade school training in fabrication or manufacturing preferred Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Strong knowledge of general manufacturing practices and safe operation of shop equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders (nice to have) Experience with metalworking equipment and tools, including shears, brakes, presses, grinders, and drill presses (nice to have) Basic to intermediate welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick) and knowledge of welding safety practices (nice to have) Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) and attention to dimensional accuracy Good physical stamina and dexterity, able to lift and move materials as required and stand for extended periods Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and ability to work effectively in a team environment For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
