OVPSSEIE
The Office of the Vice President for Student Success, Enrollment and Institutional Effectiveness (OVPSSEIE) oversees Indiana University's (IU) commitment to fostering the educational, personal, and professional success of its students both during their time at IU and beyond. By providing comprehensive oversight of IU's student success strategy, enrollment services, strategic initiatives, accreditation policies, and institutional analytics, the office plays a pivotal role in advancing the university's core missions of teaching, research, and service, while continuously enhancing the student experience. Job Summary The Undergraduate Part-Time Work Study Credentials Specialist serves as a key member of the Credentials Team, managing and operationalizing core Registrar functions within the Student Information System (SIS), Parchment, MyHub, and other related platforms. Department Specific Responsibilities Ensures compliance with university, IU, state, and federal guidelines while delivering excellent 1st-line customer service. Documents, processes, and tracks vital student credentials, including transcripts and enrollment verification through close collaboration with internal team members and campus partners. Operationalize assigned Registrar functions within the SIS, Parchment, MyHub, and other core systems. Maintains data integrity and ensures all system actions align with internal, university, state, and federal regulations. Assists in testing system updates and troubleshooting technical workflows related to credential processing. Documents, monitors, transmits, and follows up on official transcripts and enrollment verifications. Tracks and processes immunization records and all other student credentials with high accuracy. Adheres strictly to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other privacy regulations regarding student records. Serves as the 1st line of customer service support handling incoming emails and phone inquiries. Resolves standard student, alumni, and 3rd-party inquiries regarding records and credentials. Collaborates with Registrar team members and campus partner support networks to streamline workflows and resolves complex student issues. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Indiana University with federal work study eligibility.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required 1 year of experience in a university registrar's office, higher education administration, or a high-volume data processing environment. SKILLS Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on student-centric customer service. Proven ability to manage confidential data with a high degree of accuracy and compliance. Preferred Proficiency with Higher Education Student Information Systems (SIS), Parchment, and MyHub. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana This is an in-person position. Work Hours Works between the hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday.
