Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims using systems like Athenahealth or Dentrix Collect outstanding medical bills through effective communication and medical collection procedures Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software and multi-line phone systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette Review patient documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations; update medical records accordingly Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and billing inquiries to support smooth revenue cycle management Support clinical staff by managing patient care plans, intake forms, and medical records management including filing and data entry Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and insurance billing processes is required Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health information management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred Experience with dental terminology or working in dental clinics is a plus but not mandatory Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding service and support!
