Join the Williams Eye Institute Team as a Patient Services Representative! Are you a passionate and energetic individual with exceptional patient service skills? We're looking for a dedicated Patient Services Representative to join us full-time or part time. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organization that values its employees.
What You'll Do:
As a Patient Services Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive friendly and efficient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing outstanding patient service, whether in person, over the phone, or via email and fax. Accurately and meticulously handling patient check-ins and check-outs. Verifying insurance and obtaining necessary authorizations. Collecting co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and prior balances at the time of visit. Managing and accounting for all payments collected daily. Scheduling return appointments and setting up reminder notifications for patients. Identifying, researching, and resolving patient requests efficiently. Ensuring our high standards of patient care are consistently met, including following up with patients and physicians as needed. Being flexible to work at our Crown Point location when necessary to provide coverage.
What You'll Bring:
To be successful in this role, you'll need: A minimum of a high school diploma. At least one year of similar healthcare experience . Working knowledge of Medicare and other insurance plans. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized scheduling systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with co-workers and physicians. A friendly, warm approach to patient interactions. The ability to maintain a clean and organized working environment. A willingness to work at both our Crown Point and Hammond locations as needed.
