Essential Functions Excellent customer service Schedule appointments. Keeps accurate patient and insurance information up to date. Collects co-pay and outstanding balances. Makes referrals when required. Obtain precertification when required. Keeps strict confidentiality. Scans documents when required. Take accurate telephone messages. Keeps clean work environment. Works well with internal customers (physicians, practice manager, co-workers, other physician offices, hospital staff, etc.) Deals with external customers in a professional, polite and confidential manner.
