Discount programs, free parking, and more Job Summary The Registrar is responsible for collecting patient demographic and insurance information for outpatient services. This role ensures a smooth and efficient registration process while collecting co-pays and deductibles at the point of service. The Registrar plays a key role in creating a positive first impression of the hospital for patients and visitors. Key Responsibilities Collect and accurately enter patient demographic, billing, and clinical information in a timely manner Distribute and explain forms, documents, and educational materials to patients or family members Meet with patients or caregivers to gather required information and explain registration processes Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity Communicate with physician offices, nursing staff, and other personnel to coordinate admissions and patient placement Verify insurance benefits and obtain required precertification/authorization Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other required payments or refer patients to financial counselors when appropriate Ensure a positive, efficient, and patient-focused registration experience

Minimum Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Preferred); Associate's Degree (Preferred)
